Responding to asthma emergencies
In the third unit we will learn about responding to asthma emergencies , recognizing an asthma attack and providing first aid. We will also explore the proper techniques for administering reliever inhalers and spacers.
Supporting students with asthma
In the final unit you will learn how to develop an individualized asthma care plan and how to educate students about self management. We will also cover communication with parents and healthcare providers as well as promoting asthma awareness in the school setting.
