The introduction of the Care Certificate meant that all health and social care support workers like healthcare assistants, assistant practitioners and trainees were equipped with the knowledge and skills to care for patients safely and compassionately.

The Care Certificate must be completed within 12 weeks and all 15 Care Certificate standards must be met.
