We will cover the different types of grief and the types of loss and stages of grief. You will explore counselling methods and interventions as well as the processes including different types of therapeutic approaches.
You will learn about the goals and challenges of grief counselling and explore the objectives of grief counselling and the hurdles practitioners may encounter. We will also touch on critical aspects such as maintaining boundaries, supervision and GDPR compliance as well as safeguarding and ethical considerations.
In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80% or more in the final multiple choice quiz.

- Unit 3 – Counselling Methods and Processes – In the third unit we will explore counselling methods and processes. You will consider a wide range of therapeutic approaches and interventions aimed at supporting individuals through grief .
- Unit 4 – The Goal and Challenges of Grief Counselling – In the final unit we will cover the goals and challenges of grief counselling. You will explore the objectives of grief counselling and the complexities and hurdles a practitioner may encounter. You also cover the ethical considerations that underpin the process
