On completion of the course, students will learn about assistive technology in schools and how it can enhance the learning experience for many children who struggle to get the most out of their education because of the challenges and barriers they face due to their disability.

We explore the different types of assistive technologies and the benefits for diverse learners. Students will learn about conducting assessments and evaluations and collaborating with special education teams. Implementing AT in the classroom

In the third unit, students will learn about setting up the classroom environment and customising AT for individual learners. Students will also explore training and support for educators, and monitoring progress and adaptations. We will also discuss promoting learner independence.

Measuring impact and future trends

In the final unit, you will examine the effectiveness of AT and learn about staying updated with AST innovations and future trends. Students will learn about collecting data and feedback and building collaborative AT communities.
