All about this Arthritis Awareness Course
You will explore what arthritis is and where in the body it affects. We will also discuss the risk factors for arthritis and in what populations it is more commonly seen. You will look at the types of arthritis and their differences, you will also explore related conditions that may present with similar symptoms.
You will also learn how arthritis is tested for and diagnosed and how having arthritis may affect an individual’s ability to work and its impact on their lifestyle.
At the end of this course, you will explore how people living with arthritis can be supported holistically. You will also learn about the support available for families and carers.
In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80% or more in the final multiple choice quiz.
You will earn 3 CPD points on completion of the course, this course will take around 3 hours to complete and the certificate will last for two years.

Units covered
- Unit 1 – Introduction to Arthritis – In the first unit of the course you will gain knowledge on what arthritis is and the signs and symptoms, the risk factors for developing arthritis and how arthritis affects the body.
- Unit 2 – Types of Arthritis – This unit will discuss the types of arthritis and the signs, symptoms and progression of each, as well as conditions related to arthritis, their signs symptoms and ongoing impacts.
- Unit 3 – Diagnosis and Treatment – In this unit you will explore how arthritis and its related conditions are diagnosed and the ongoing treatment that may be required. You will also explore how arthritis can affect an individual’s life.
- Unit 4 – Living with Arthritis – In the final unit of the arthritis awareness course, you will explore how to live comfortably with arthritis and how those with arthritis or an associated condition can minimise symptoms and access support.
